Inspects incoming parts for flaws or lack of finish and notifies supervisor of exceptions.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS\nPerforms basic metal preparation for specified paint applications\n\nAbility to work independently with supervision (self-starter/self-motivated)\n\nUnder direct supervision, applies primer to parts and paint in accordance with AMSI and/or customer specifications and requirements\n\nAssists in organizing and cleaning storage areas to maintain efficient operation\n\nRead and understand basic drawings and schematics\n\nAssist higher level Painters in the preparation and painting process\n\nProvide input on quality, cost, and production issues\n\nAssist in the detection of defective material, unusual conditions, and report to supervisor\n\nAbility to explain the location, use, and definition of MSDS\n\nAccurate and timely completion of area specific documentation\n\nAbility to demonstrate safe crane operation and rigging fundamentals under direct supervision\n\nEDUCATION\n· High school diploma or equivalent.
