The Payroll Analyst will act as backup for members of the payroll team, and be a resource to employees and perform related duties as required.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): \nProcesses bi-weekly payroll.\nUnderstand the Dayforce payroll system as a Processor\nProvide support for ongoing payroll operational activities\nProvide payroll process expertise as a project team member on departmental and cross-functional initiatives\nSolve a variety of complex problems, conduct research, gather and compile information for reports and analyze results\nRegularly review current processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements to SOP or systems to enhance performance and create efficiencies.\nParticipate in developing and testing new and/or existing payroll processes and procedures when system and business requirements change\nParticipate in various payroll audits as required by internal and external audit teams\nResearch compliance issues, IRS laws and states laws, to provide recommendations for improved compliance on internal payroll and payroll tax processes\nParticipate in payroll projects and opportunities as assigned\nWork closely with the Payroll Team to provide excellent customer service and be back up for payroll processing as needed\nAssist in resolving payroll related tax issues with Dayforce and the taxing agencies\nAssist with Tax Registrations.\nPerforms other related duties or projects as assigned by the Payroll Director.\nJob Specifications:\nExperience with high volume, multi-state payroll environment\nExperience in coordinating long-term and short-term planning in a fast-changing environment\nAbility to work with all levels of management and deal effectively with team members\nHave superior organization skills\nGood communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with vendors, management, and team members\nProficient in Word and Excel\nAbility to lead and coach others\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field\n5-7 years of full cycle payroll processing experience\nDeep knowledge with Payroll Tax, Withholdings, Filings, and Correspondence across multiple States\nCPP/FPC Preferred\nExperience with Dayforce Payroll and Workday a plus\nSupervisory/Responsibility:\nThis position does not supervise team members\nWork Environment:\nThis is an office position that has the potential to work from home one day a week.\nPosition Type:\nThis is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek may require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.\nTravel:\nOccasional domestic travel may be required for this position.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of the those performed in the job duties.
