This role also labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nRecords purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels. \nVerifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. \nInvestigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. \nPrepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages. \nReceives, unpacks, and delivers goods. \nRe-stocks items as necessary. Labels shelves. \nLiaises with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepares deliveries. \nMay perform other routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers. \nWork from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials \nReceive, identify, issue and store material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method \nFill and distribute basic material and repair orders \nLabel, pack and load items for shipment according to specifications \nUnload incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight bills \nMaintain records of all items received and shipped \nPerform cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy; reconcile variances \nDetect defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties; provide necessary documentation to drive corrective actions \nOperate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage \nResponsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only). Correctly label and date hazardous waste drums and transfer to authorized waste vendor. Recognize spills/leaks and handle as trained and in accordance to company policy \nAssist as necessary to maintain proper flow of work through assigned area; participate in training less experienced associates \nAssist in generating and updating standard work instructions/procedures; train others on proper procedures \nActively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues \nRegularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members \nRegular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely \nMaintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion \nPerform all work in accordance with established safety procedures \nOther duties as assigned \nQUALIFICATIONS\n To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
