In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.\nWork with designers and licensed engineers to create and assemble a complete set of structural design documents\nDevelop structural 3D models of new and existing building facilities using Revit (LOD-300)\nCreate construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit\nHelp develop structural team Revit drafting standards, best practices, and update Revit templates\nWork with licensed engineers and perform field surveys to develop existing BIM models using available field data or by utilizing point cloud\nWork closely with BIM managers to keep abreast all BIM related changes\nGuide staff across multiple Barry-Wehmiller Design Group offices\nHelp streamline the process of structural drawing production by developing Revit families and building and organizing a typical detail library\nPrepare Navisworks models to help with clash detection\nAttend project specific BIM coordination meetings to assist with clash detection across disciplines\nPerform BIM quality checks and fill out QMS checklists for project specific BIM work\nSuggest creative solutions for complex structural problems\nAssist in identifying and mitigating issues related to constructability, and strive for economy in structure design\nLead in the presentation of 3D BIM content during client and project team meetings\nGuide the team on best-in-class design practices and CAD technologies\nMake an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nA minimum of ten years of structural designer experience with industrial structural design\nProficiency in 3D BIM software (Revit, Navisworks), AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word\nExperience in the structural design of facilities for the food/beverage, pharma/life science, or consumer products industries (preferred)\nFamiliarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) (preferred)\nExperience in the structural design of steel industrial facilities\nExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact successfully with our team members and clients\nA willingness to travel for project requirements including site inspection, installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions\nAn associate degree, technology degree or a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from an ABET institution (preferred)\nOur culture and commitment to our people is what sets us apart.
