Based out of Barstool’s Chicago office and reporting to the Director of Production, this role will oversee the operational planning and execution of larger-scale and high-priority productions in and outside the Chicago office.\nThe Senior Manager will serve as a key operational partner to Production leadership, managing production schedules, vendors, facilities, logistics, and cross-functional communication from pre-production through completion. This role will oversee complex projects, identify and resolve operational challenges, and develop processes that improve the efficiency and scalability of Barstool’s production operations.\nThis is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, nontraditional production environment that requires strong judgment, organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the day-to-day operational planning and execution of larger-scale and high-priority productions based out of the Chicago office.\nProject manage productions from initial planning and pre-production through execution, wrap, and post-mortem.\nCoordinate production logistics including equipment, facilities, transportation, supplies, travel, set builds, vendors, and freelancers.\nEnsure productions follow established company policies, safety requirements, and applicable EHS regulations, including coordination of COIs and permits when necessary.\nClearly communicate priorities, deadlines, responsibilities, and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.\nMaintain production budgets for assigned short- and long-term projects.\nBook and coordinate ENG crews and other production resources as needed, working with Legal on contracts and terms.\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and processes that increase the efficiency and scalability of Chicago production operations.\nIdentify opportunities to improve production planning, communication, resource allocation, and cost management.\nProvide hands-on operational support during productions when needed.\nTravel periodically to support select remote productions or larger projects as needed.\nWhat You Have\n7+ years of experience in production operations, production management, video production, media, entertainment, or a related field.\nSignificant experience managing complex productions, projects, or operational workflows.\nExceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization.\nHighly proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to think creatively and operate effectively in a fast-paced, nontraditional production environment.\nAbility to remain composed and make decisions in high-pressure situations.\nStrong understanding of production safety, EHS regulations, and best practices.\nProficiency with Google Workspace and production/project management tools.\nExperience managing or mentoring junior production or operations staff.\nWillingness to work nights, weekends, and outside of normal business hours when production needs require.\nWillingness to travel periodically for select productions and projects.\nSalary Range: $90,000 - $130,000k\nBarstool Sports is a company that will drive the way media is created and consumed for years to come.
