Our core purpose is Building People, Projects, and Communities; our core values are Integrity, Partnership, and Empowerment.\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for conducting quality audits on designated Barton Malow Canada projects and ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) is developed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with established standards. This role provides direct oversight of project documentation and on-site physical inspections throughout the workflow process. The Quality Assurance Coordinator collaborates with internal Quality Control personnel and external stakeholders to review, document, and verify all quality-related aspects of the project. The individual will also proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as required to support continuous quality improvement.\n\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nUphold Barton Malow’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality standards to clients.\nFoster and sustain a culture of quality by coaching and mentoring employees at every level.\nManage and distribute the company’s quality documentation efficiently.\nCollaborate with site staff to monitor all quality-related activities across projects.\nConduct internal and external audits as required.\nEnsure contractor quality requirements are communicated to vendors and review contractor documentation submittals.\nCoordinate quality audits involving all site subcontractors and vendors.\nOversee inspection test plans (ITPs).\nParticipate in client quality management meetings when necessary.\nPrepare and oversee project quality system documentation prior to project initiation.\nReview qualifications and training requirements for quality inspection personnel.\nMonitor and track resolutions for all issues and non-conformance reports.\nEvaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the project Quality Management System (QMS) onsite and in office; recommend and implement improvements as needed.\nManage archival documentation upon project completion.\nSupervise on-site and off-site third-party inspectors.\nCollaborate with project staff to resolve any instances of nonconforming products.\nAssess contractors' QA/QC systems to ensure compliance with contractual requirements alongside Project Supervision.\nFacilitate contractor quality approvals with Project Supervision when necessary.\nVerify that documentation and certificates for materials purchased from vendors are accurate.\nLiaise with management regarding quality improvements.\nCoordinate receipt inspections.\nDistribute pertinent QA/QC documentation to site contractors.\nVerify all site quality activities comply with applicable codes and standards.\n\nREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:\nPost-secondary diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) is considered an asset. \nElectrical experience is required. \nQuality Management Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution or an equivalent qualification. \nMinimum 3 years of experience in a quality management or QA/QC role within the construction industry. \nWorking knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management Standards and their practical implementation. \nWorking knowledge of CWB W47.1, W59, including welding procedures and weld testing requirements. \nStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. \nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment. \nDemonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions and exercise sound, independent judgment. \nExcellent time management, coordination, and attention to detail. \nAbility to interpret and implement company policies and procedures consistently. \nHigh level of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skill, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment. \nEffective verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities. \nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc.).\n\nBENEFITS & COMPENSATION:\nHourly wage $50.00 - $60.00, based on experience and certification\nOpportunities for skill development and advancement within the company.\nCompany paid benefit package immediately.\nRRSP benefit package offered immediately.\nBarton Malow Canada is an equal opportunity employer, fostering diversity, inclusion and belonging within our organization.
