If you’re someone who gets excited about early-stage energy, designing better ways to work, and fixing what’s broken in healthcare, we’d love to connect.\nAbout the Role\nBasata builds AI agents that answer patient calls and process inbound clinical documents for cardiology and urology practices. Every deployment is different: a different EMR, a different set of fax lines, a different way of deciding who gets to schedule what. The AI Workflow Engineer is the person who works that out and makes it real.\nYou will run multiple customer implementations concurrently, each with its own phases, gates and stakeholders. The work is roughly split between project management and process design - where the balance shifts week to week.\nWhat You'll Do\nProgram and project management\nOwn customer implementation projects (simultaneously) end to end, from contract handoff through go-live and the stabilization period that follows\n\nManage internal & external stakeholders through a project’s lifecycle\n\nRegularly report status updates and provide clear communication to internal and external teams\n\nRun each project against defined phase gates, and hold the gate - a phase does not close because the date arrived\n\nProvide feedback to current program & project management office to continuously refine best practices and standardization\n\nWorkflow design (AI) and problem solving\nWalk the current-state process on site - at the desk, with the people doing the work, not from a description of it\n\nMap workflows as swimlane process maps and validate them with the staff who will live with the result\n\nDiagnose why a process fails before designing the replacement, using data rather than the first plausible explanation\n\nTranslate what you find into agent configuration, routing rules, extraction fields and escalation paths\n\nOwn defect triage during testing, and decide what ships, what waits, and what was never in scope\n\nCustomer partnership\nRun kickoff, discovery, UAT and training sessions with audiences that range from front-desk staff to physician owners\n\nSet expectations honestly, including when something will not work the way it was hoped\n\nDeliver the post-go-live review with the data to back it up\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years in program management, implementation, process improvement, business analysis or a comparable delivery role\n\nBachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience\n\nA track record of running concurrent projects with real deadlines and real stakeholders, not just contributing to them\n\nDemonstrated structured problem solving: you can show how you found a root cause rather than how you fixed a symptom\n\nDirect customer-facing experience, meeting the customers/patients needs\n\nComfort with ambiguity - early deployments do not come with a runbook, they produce one\n\nThis role requires travel.\nThis is not a software engineer - you will not be writing production code, though you will read configuration and work closely with engineers.
