Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, controls, and electrical engineers to ensure performance aligns with system-level requirements.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.\n5+ years of engineering experience designing power electronics hardware, preferably in Aerospace & Defense Industry. \nExperience with high power inverter and gate drive circuitry for motor drives.\nExperience designing for high-voltage (270 VDC - 600 VDC) environments.\nProficiency with simulation tools and basic programming skills in C and MATLAB. \nStrong EE fundamentals and circuit design experience in power electronics, analog and digital circuits with FPGA-based and/or microcontroller-based embedded systems.\nAbility to move from concept through hardware validation.\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\nU.S. Citizen (due to program requirements).\nPreferred\nExperience in EMC design and validation.\nExperience with PMAC and BLDC motor drives.\nExperenice with FOC sensor and sensorless control. \nFamiliarity with aerospace standards: MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, DO-160.\nFamiliarity with AS9100D development environments and structured design reviews\nTools You’ll Use\nAltium Designer, MATLAB & Simulink, SPICE-based tools, PLM/PDM systems, ERP/MRP (Deltek Costpoint or similar), MS Office/Teams/SharePoint.\nWhy Bascom Hunter\nHigh-ownership technical role with direct influence on product architecture\nOpportunity to shape next-generation aerospace and defense power, thermal and air systems\nExposure to customers, proposal efforts, and strategic growth initiatives\nCompetitive compensation and benefits\nMeaningful mission building advanced aerospace and defense systems\nWork Environment & Eligibility\nOffice and laboratory environment with test facility exposure; ability to occasionally lift up to ~25 lbs; travel ~10-20% for customer meetings or test support.\nAll positions at Bascom Hunter are subject to background investigations.
