The role involves collaboration with systems engineers, software engineers, architects, and operations teams to develop backend and frontend software solutions leveraging cloud computing, AI, ML, and cross-domain transfer systems. The position supports Defense and Intelligence Community members by advancing big data analytics tools and micro-service development.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n Work with a team of system integration engineers to successfully deploy release candidates to production environment.\nParticipate in test, staging and production deployment.\nIntegrate container-based Appian using Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Rancher, Helm and other DevSecOps integration tools.\nDevelop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, including navigating Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to securely deliver updates to air-gapped networks.\nImplement and monitor automated system integration testing (e.g., using Cucumber) to identify failed modules and components.\nMonitor automated system integration tests to identify failed modules and components.\nManage individual project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.\nFoster an environment of collaboration with the different team members in the goal of providing quality service and product to our customer.\nRequired Qualifications\n Typically requires Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience with Appian.\nExperience with containerization.\nExperience with Agile practices.\nExperience engineering and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.\nDevelopment and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nEnthusiastic with the ability to work well on a team and a self-starter who can work on their own.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Experience with systems at scale.\nKafka or other message passing systems.\nExperience on a production/enterprise system.\nCloud infrastructure experience.\nDoD 8570/8140 Compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or higher).\nAppian certification.\nExperience with any of the following technologies: Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/Grafana; Appian integration with PostgreSQL or other DB; SALT for deployment automation; GraphQL; Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash, specifically admin experience; Helm and Helmfile.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\n Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of experience.\nMasters with 2-6 years of experience.\nRequired Certifications\n DoD 8570/8140 Compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or higher).\nRequired Security Clearance\n Active Top Secret/SCI\nEqual Employment Opportunity\n Base-2 Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
