The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Nexus Repository management, and building and maintaining Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production environments. The role involves automating deployment processes, managing artifact repositories, and orchestrating infrastructure upgrades across Windows Server environments while planning migration to AWS cloud infrastructure. Strong expertise in Windows Server administration, AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFormation/Terraform), and infrastructure-as-code practices are essential. Experience with containerization strategies for Java applications, configuration management tools, and implementing security controls in both on-premises VMware and cloud environments is highly valued.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.\nAutomate deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments.\nManage Nexus Repository for artifact storage and dependency management.\nDevelop infrastructure-as-code solutions using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.\nBuild and maintain Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production environments.\nAdminister Windows Server environments and orchestrate infrastructure upgrades.\nPlan and execute migration strategies from on-premises VMware to AWS cloud infrastructure.\nConfigure and manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and related components.\nDevelop containerization strategies for Java applications.\nImplement configuration management tools and practices.\nApply security controls in both on-premises VMware and AWS cloud environments.\nMonitor system performance and implement optimization strategies.\nRequired Qualifications\n Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.\nNexus Repository management experience.\nBuilding and maintaining Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production environments.\nStrong expertise in Windows Server administration.\nStrong expertise in AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFormation/Terraform).\nInfrastructure-as-code practices.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Containerization strategies for Java applications.\nConfiguration management tools.\nImplementing security controls in both on-premises VMware and cloud environments.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\n Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience.\nMaster's degree with 7 years of experience.\nNo degree with 13+ years of experience.\nRequired Certifications\n None specified.\nRequired Security Clearance\n Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph\nEqual Employment Opportunity\n Base-2 Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
