This is a full-time onsite day-shift position at the Pentagon/NMCC, including ad-hoc telework.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n Perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities, non-compliance with cybersecurity standards, and recommend mitigation strategies.\nBuild, deploy, and patch HBSS Windows and ACAS Red Hat Linux 7.9 and 8 servers.\nBuild, maintain, and patch all ePO, Security Center, and Nessus servers.\nProvide Security Center accounts for Vulnerability Managers to scan devices within ACAS.\nAnalyze ACAS scan results and remediate vulnerability findings.\nObtain licenses for all HBSS ePO's and Tenable Security Centers.\nObtain HBSS and ACAS kickstart ISOs from DISA.\nBuild virtual servers, deploy, and patch all McAfee modules via the ePO, and configure McAfee policies for each environment.\nSTIG HBSS Windows OS and ACAS RHEL servers and configure McAfee policies to comply with benchmarks.\nRun SCAP scans on Windows and RHEL servers.\nUpdate RedHat 7.9 and 8 rpms as released and set up Red Hat yum local rpm repositories to patch offline ACAS servers.\nDeploy Rogue sensors on each subnet, identify rogue subnets and rogue endpoints.\nTroubleshoot Security Center and Nessus scanner issues.\nDesign, implement, and maintain complex information technology systems, including computing infrastructure, cybersecurity networking rules, and troubleshooting network or other technical issues.\nLead technical solution development from refining customer requirements through design, build, test, and deployment.\nDocument and communicate technical solutions and analyses leading to recommended courses of action.\nRequired Qualifications\n Security+ certification.\n5+ years of experience in systems engineering including design and architecture, or the applicable LCAT education/experience alternative listed below.\nDemonstrated capability to identify security risks throughout information system network structures including Operating Systems, hardware, and data transfer protocols.\nEffective communication and presentation skills in formal and informal settings.\nStrong planning, organizational, and time management skills.\nDemonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.\nPreferred Qualifications\n None specified.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\n Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with 5+ years of experience.\nMaster's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with 3 years of experience.\nNo degree with 12 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to the task.\nRequired Certifications\n Security+\nRequired Security Clearance\n Active Top Secret/SCI\nEqual Employment Opportunity\n Base-2 Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
