The Project Manager will execute the AFNCR ITS Program Mission in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, with missions including the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. This is an on-site role.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe Project Manager will work with our customers, other project managers, internal task or functional staff, and support personnel to execute the AFNCR ITS Program Mission.\nThe candidate will be accountable for prioritizing, planning, organizing, training, assessing, and managing resources to ensure that projects are executed within scope and time constraints.\nWhile part of a team environment, the Project Manager will also work individually and may assist other team members on moderately complex projects, tasks, or assignments.\nPlan, coordinate and manage small and medium projects.\nIntegrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements.\nPresent project related information potentially to the customer, internal leadership and peers.\nCreate project management plans, set expectations, and ensure the project plans are driven by organizational procedures.\nCoordinates with cross-functional project stakeholders to develop project scope, objectives, goals, and deliverables.\nEnsures that requirements are gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved per organizational/PMO standards.\nEnsure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and remain in scope.\nMonitors and tracks project dependencies.\nCreate a breakdown structure that defines all activities required for the project deliverables.\nEstablish and provide high-quality, informative written and verbal project communications, including weekly status, dashboards, and project updates.\nActively monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, attainment of established milestones and overall quality of project activities and deliverables.\nRequired Qualifications\nMeet an applicable education and experience pathway in the equivalency section.\nSolid understanding of Project Management and Project Management Office functions.\nAbility to build and maintain relationships, partnerships, and external networks.\nAbility to work independently, with minimal supervision and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team informed.\nExcellent customer-facing skills.\nExcellent research, decision-making and organizational skills are required.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project or similar project management tool.\nMaintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate.\nThe successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of effort.\nPreferred Qualifications\nRequirement Analysis.\nProcess Improvement.\nInternal and external customer interfacing skills.\nBusiness Development.\nExtensive knowledge of military organizations and prior experience working with the Air Force.\nITIL v4, optional.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\nBachelors degree with 4+ years of prior relevant experience.\nMaster's with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.\nAdditional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.\nRequired Certifications\nPMP Certification within 6 months.\nRequired Security Clearance\nActive Secret\nU.S. citizenship is required\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nBase-2 Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
