The role involves integrating off-the-shelf and newly developed software to sustain and enhance the TCPED platform using cloud computing, AI, ML, and cross-domain transfer systems. The position requires leadership of a DevOps team responsible for design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture and technical systems administration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n Lead a DevOps team responsible for design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture.\nDeploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using microservice architecture running on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch backend, and Kafka messaging.\nEnhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes to facilitate faster development, quicker error detection, and resilient deployments.\nDesign, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure including physical and virtualized environments.\nUse Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments to support new feature requirements.\nCollaborate with System Engineers to design solutions for new features and requirements.\nProvide technical input to systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models in coordination with SE and Architect teams.\nOwn and prioritize the Agile team backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery of maximum value.\nSupport SAFe Program Increment (PI) planning and execution, including creating and managing work items and project documentation.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.\nMonitor sprint and program progress, resolving dependencies, risks, and impediments impacting delivery.\nReview and accept completed work to ensure it meets business requirements and quality standards.\nCollaborate with stakeholders, developers, and leadership to communicate priorities, progress, and product goals.\nRequired Qualifications\n BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 12+ years in software development, system engineering or related field; 10+ years of experience with Master's degree.\nCurrent DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II (or higher) certification, such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, or CISSP (or Associate).\nAbility to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification.\nExperience with container/container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes, including troubleshooting Ingress/Gateway API, Helm chart design/build, Pod disruption budgets, affinity/anti-affinity rules, and familiarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, and eck (Elasticsearch).\nGitLab pipeline development experience including integration of GitLab CI/CD components, Code Quality reports, and Code Coverage/Test reports.\nKnowledgeable in navigating Linux OS, specifically sysctls for Kubernetes environments, FApolicyd, and SELinux experience.\nComfortable with Elastic Search, Logstash, and Kibana.\nExperience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile software development team with demonstrated ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps, manage and prioritize product backlogs, strong understanding of Agile methodologies, and experience facilitating scrum ceremonies.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical and non-technical concepts to diverse audiences.\nProven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management teams.\nDemonstrated ability to manage expectations and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Experience with development languages such as Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.\nExperience on a production/enterprise system.\nExperience with Kafka or other message passing systems (AMQP, JMS).\nExperience with Kubernetes monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.\nExperience with GPU-based Kubernetes.\nExperience with SALT for deployment automation.\nExperience with Nexus.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\n Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 12+ years in software development, system engineering or related field.\nMaster's degree with 10+ years in software development, system engineering or related field.\nRequired Certifications\n DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II (or higher) certification such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, or CISSP (or Associate).\nAbility to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification.\nRequired Security Clearance\n Active Top Secret/SCI\nEqual Employment Opportunity\n Base-2 Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
