This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems and infrastructure-driven software solutions in support of mission requirements. The position requires strong DevOps and systems engineering experience, with an emphasis on Linux administration, automation, virtualization, networking, storage, and monitoring within complex enterprise environments.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.\nDesign and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.\nDebug existing software and correct defects.\nIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.\nDevelop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.\nProvide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.\nDevelop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.\nAssist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.\nWrite or review software and system documentation.\nDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas.\nServe as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project.\nModify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.\nDesign, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.\nDesign or implement complex database or data repository interfaces and queries.\nOversee one or more software development teams and ensure work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project.\nDesign or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints, and perform quality control on team products.\nConfer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and obtain information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.\nCoordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met.\nImplement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.\nRequired Qualifications\n Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.\nFourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.\nDevOps experience.\nStrong Linux experience, including command line proficiency, troubleshooting, and basic Bash scripting.\nExperience with VMware vSphere.\nExperience with Cisco technologies, including NXOS, IOS, or ACI.\nExperience with NetApp storage.\nExperience with Puppet.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Experience with Terraform.\nExperience with Kubernetes.\nExperience with Ansible.\nExperience with AWS.\nExperience with networking technologies, including Calico and Istio.\nExperience with GitLab CI/CD.\nExperience with ELK stack.\nExperience with Prometheus.\nExperience with Grafana.\nExperience with other logging and monitoring tools.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\n High School Diploma/GED with 18 years of experience.\nAssociates Degree with 18 years of experience.\nBachelors' Degree with 14 years of experience.\nMasters'
