This role is responsible for developing robust and scalable cloud infrastructure, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and mission delivery.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n Support the design and implementation of cloud-based architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in alignment with industry best practices.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure.\nMentor and provide technical guidance to cloud engineers, including reviewing work and helping resolve complex technical challenges.\nEngage with stakeholders to translate technical requirements into actionable solutions.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud environments.\nStay current on evolving cloud technologies and compliance standards.\nProvide requirement decomposition, requirement definition, and engineering expertise to ensure program requirements are developed and sustained.\nPrepare operating instructions and end-user training.\nDevelop and implement cloud governance strategies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.\nLead efforts to automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\nServe as a subject matter expert on cloud engineering best practices.\nParticipate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the company's technical community.\nParticipate in all phases of risk management assessments and architecture.\nRequired Qualifications\n Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph.\n10+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or similar role, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based solution design and architecture.\nCertification to meet 8140/8570 standards, such as Security+ or above.\nExtensive experience building and leading AWS cloud infrastructure solutions at scale across multiple classification domains, including IL5 to IL6+.\nHands-on experience using core AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and EBS.\nExtensive hands-on cloud experience with AWS.\nExpert-level skills creating, managing, and hardening desktop operating system images in the cloud, such as AMIs, across multiple classification domains.\nIn-depth understanding of modern cloud architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless computing, and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.\nStrong background in infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, with a focus on automated and repeatable cloud infrastructure delivery.\nIn-depth understanding of cloud security best practices.\nHands-on experience implementing security controls in cloud environments, including integration with enterprise authentication and authorization systems such as IAM, SSO, and federation.\nExcellent scripting and programming skills, such as Python and Bash, for automation, tooling, and orchestration.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of developing innovative solutions to complex technical problems in large-scale cloud environments.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Hands-on cloud experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\n High School Diploma/GED: N/A\nAssociate Degree: N/A\nBachelor's Degree: 10 years of
