This role provides implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for Information Technology systems and infrastructure. The position supports daily system operations, monitoring, escalation response, user support, and technical problem resolution across client, server, storage, network, and related environments. The role also requires strong Linux experience, Linux shell scripting proficiency, and knowledge of Cisco, NetApp, and Kubernetes/containerized environments.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.\nManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.\nProvide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.\nSupport IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.\nProvide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.\nOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.\nProvide support for dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.\nTroubleshoot IT systems and provide in-depth technical problem resolution.\nConfigure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot and maintain the integrity of network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.\nProvide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.\nRequired Qualifications\n Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.\nStrong Linux experience is required.\nProficiency in Linux shell commands and scripting is required.\nKnowledge of Cisco network configurations, commands, and troubleshooting is required.\nKnowledge of NetApp filer configurations, commands, and troubleshooting is required.\nExperience with Kubernetes and containerization is required.\nTen (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.\nBachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.\nRequired Education and Experience Equivalency\n High School Diploma/GED with 15 years of experience.\nAssociate Degree with 15 years of experience.\nBachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience.\nMaster's Degree with 10 years of experience.\nPhD with 10 years of experience.\nRequired Certifications\n None specified.\nRequired Security Clearance\n Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\n Base-2 Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
