Therefore, consulting experience would be highly preferred\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Network Resilience Architect to support a strategic technology resilience assessment for a large enterprise organisation.\nThe successful candidate will assess existing network architecture, identify resilience gaps and potential single points of failure, and develop recommendations to strengthen network availability, disaster recovery and operational resilience.\nThis role requires deep expertise in enterprise network architecture, data centre connectivity, high availability and disaster recovery, together with the ability to provide strategic technical recommendations to senior stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities\nNetwork Architecture AssessmentReview existing WAN, LAN and data centre network architectures.\n\nAssess inter-data-centre connectivity, network redundancy and failover capabilities.\n\nReview routing, switching, DNS, load balancing and traffic management architectures.\n\nIdentify network-related single points of failure and dependencies affecting critical services.\n\nEvaluate network architecture across production and disaster recovery environments.\n\nNetwork Resilience & Disaster RecoveryAssess network resilience across primary and secondary data centres.\n\nReview active-active and active-passive operating models.\n\nEvaluate network failover, recovery mechanisms and disaster recovery readiness.\n\nAssess connectivity resilience between regional locations and central environments.\n\nIdentify gaps that could affect service availability during major infrastructure disruptions.\n\nFuture-State Architecture & RecommendationsDefine target-state network architecture principles and design recommendations.\n\nRecommend network landing zone design patterns and improvements to network resilience.\n\nAssess readiness for automated failover and recovery.\n\nRecommend enhancements to scalability, availability and operational efficiency.\n\nContribute to the development of a network transformation roadmap, including prioritisation of improvement initiatives.\n\nStakeholder Engagement & AdvisoryWork closely with infrastructure, enterprise architecture, security, operations and resilience teams.\n\nParticipate in technical architecture reviews and validation workshops.\n\nReview architecture documentation, technical standards and supporting evidence.\n\nPresent assessment findings, architectural recommendations and improvement priorities to senior stakeholders.\n\nRequirements\nMinimum 15 years of experience in enterprise network architecture, network design or a closely related field.\n\nProven experience designing, reviewing or assessing large-scale enterprise network environments.\n\nStrong technical knowledge of WAN, LAN, data centre networking, SD-WAN, routing and switching.\n\nExpertise in DNS architecture, load balancing, network segmentation and high availability.\n\nStrong experience in dual-data-centre architecture, disaster recovery design and network failover strategies.\n\nExperience conducting current-state assessments, gap analysis and future-state architecture definition.\n\nAbility to translate complex technical findings into practical recommendations and technology roadmaps.\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to advise senior technology leaders.\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience in banking, financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.\n\nExposure to regulatory requirements relating to technology and operational resilience.\n\nExperience supporting regional or multi-country network environments.\n\nBackground in network modernisation and infrastructure transformation programmes.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud networking across AWS, Microsoft Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.\n\nExperience working in hybrid enterprise architecture environments.\n\nPreferred Certifications\nOne or more of the following would be advantageous:\nCisco CCIE – Enterprise Infrastructure\n\nCisco CCDE\n\nJuniper JNCIE\n\nAWS
