You will provide legal advice on commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, and support the legal needs of a scaling organization in a risk-forward environment. You will partner with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks across the business while supporting the development of new business lines.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPartner with internal stakeholders to negotiate and close partnership deals, vendor agreements, and real estate and facility leases in support of a rapidly scaling manufacturing organization.\n\nLead the review and negotiation of commercial contracts, MSAs, NDAs, and other business agreements, ensuring terms are favorable and risks are well-managed.\n\nDevelop company-wide practices and standards that mitigate legal risk across cybersecurity, employment and labor law, and consumer protection.\n\nBuild scalable, business-centric legal frameworks that give the company the flexibility and speed to operate and grow without unnecessary friction.\n\nProvide legal support across corporate transactions, including fundraising activities, tax equity, and project and asset financings.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n5+ years of legal experience, with a strong background in transactional work; experience in energy, utilities, or technology sectors is preferred but not necessary; startup or high-growth company experience is also preferred.\n\nGood judgment to operate independently within a surging business.\n\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice.\n\nAn entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and prioritizes impact.\n\nPassion for our work and a commitment to fueling American innovation, security, and prosperity through a more reliable grid for all.\n\nAbout the Team\nBase's legal team owns the legal, regulatory, and compliance foundation of the Company, partnering closely with commercial teams to allow the business to operate and scale. The work spans commercial contracting, supplier agreements, utility regulation, financing, corporate transactions, and compliance-covering significant ground for a small team.
