You will be responsible for end-to-end design of Base’s energy storage systems-including inverters, batteries, and interconnect devices-through manufacturing and field deployment.\nThis role is ideal for someone who’s taken systems from schematic to production and knows how to debug and validate at the board and system level. You should be comfortable working with high voltage designs, embedded systems, and hardware validation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. most reliable, cost efficient, high performance batteries and inverters in the world\nWhat You'll Do\nEnd-to-end ownership of energy storage systems (inverter, battery, Microgrid interconnect device) designs including specifications, architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, board bring up, validation, and overseeing reliability and functional testing.\n\nCollaboration with cross functional teams (mechanical, firmware, test, reliability etc.) to see products through high volume manufacturing.\n\nDesign and execute high voltage and high current validation of inverter, battery and BMS designs.\n\nDebug complex component interactions at the system level.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nDegree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.\n\nDigital and analog circuit design, including high voltage circuits or power supply design.\n\nPrinted circuit board design (Altium) and initial bring-up: debugging, soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly.\n\nFamiliarity with embedded firmware, microcontrollers and their peripherals, python scripting or similar.\n\nFamiliarity with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies.\n\nExperience with power semiconductors (MOSFETs, IGBTs).\n\nKnowledge of electric motors, thermal design, and/or mechanical design.\n\nExperience with automotive networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).\n\nBasic control theory, including importance of sensor bandwidths, filtering.\n\nPlease note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly.
