We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization-electricity-by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Network Administrator to join our team and help support and maintain our networks across offices, warehouses, and factory locations. You'll work with the team to keep our network infrastructure running smoothly, assist with rollouts at new Base locations, and support the day-to-day operation of the infrastructure behind our manufacturing environment. This role has a strong manufacturing OT component. You'll work directly with the servers, network equipment, and systems that support manufacturing, not just traditional office and warehouse networking.\nAlthough your focus will be on network administration, you will be expected to wear many hats within the organization. This goes from designing and supporting network implementations locations to assisting with day-to-day support of the organization overall.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, deploy, and maintain the network at all Base locations, including day-to-day management of VLANs, routing, and our VPN.\n\nMonitor network performance and proactively install, configure, and improve network equipment.\n\nMaintain firewalls, keeping rules and policies current, and maintain network documentation including topology, standards, and procedures.\n\nSupport the infrastructure behind manufacturing, including servers, network equipment, and related systems on the factory floor, helping keep it reliable and secure.\n\nRespond to and remediate network-related incidents across both IT and OT environments, escalating as needed.\n\nCollaborate with the IT team and the company overall on outages and upgrades, and work with the security team to help ensure compliance with security frameworks and best practices.\n\nWillingness to do any type of IT task, including help desk support.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n2+ years of network administration experience years of network administration experience.\n\nExposure to OT or industrial environments, such as manufacturing, production line connectivity, or network segmentation, is a plus.\n\nExperience with Unifi networking equipment and supporting physical network infrastructure in an enterprise setting.\n\nExperience administering Palo Alto firewalls.\n\nExperience with network monitoring solutions and alerting configuration.\n\nExperience maintaining a server room/network closet, including physical installation and cable management in an enterprise environment.\n\nExperience with wireless deployments and troubleshooting.\n\nFamiliarity with linux and windows systems primarily with BASH and powershell CLIs.\n\nCCNA, JNCIA, or similar networking certifications are a plus.\n\nAbout the Team\nBase's IT team is building the infrastructure for a company that's growing fast, with new locations launching multiple times a year. You would be on the ground floor in setting the standards Base uses as we scale. It's a small team with broad ownership across security, networking, OT, and site IT, so the impact of getting it right (or wrong) is immediate and visible. If you want to own network and OT infrastructure end to end, from designing it to seeing it run on a live factory floor, rather than just maintaining what someone else already built, this is the team for you.\nPlease note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.\nOur Values\nFirst Principles Thinking: Question assumptions. Principles > rules.\n\nOperate at Base Pace: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.\n\nGive & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble, and maintain a growth mindset.\n\nEveryone’s an Owner: Follow through on commitments and own results.\n\nStrong Opinions, Loosely Held: Drive clarity and make calls with imperfect information.\n\nCommitted to the Mission: Rebuilding the grid is a big challenge. We work hard because we care deeply about the impact we’re creating. We work in-person. It’s not a 9-to-5. We are all-in.\n\nFun & Optimism Coexist with Grit: Collaboration and celebration coincide with the intensity of building real things.\n\nDo the best work of your life at Base.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4526,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Energy Storage","Smart Grid"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-01T02:58:42Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 12","filings_12m":12,"filings_prev_12m":4,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":137500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-29T16:27:21+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":47,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.79,"p_room":0.6,"age_days":58,"expected_fill_days":82,"reasons":["conf:3","velocity","win:late","crowd:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-29T05:49:05Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/base-power-company-network-administrator","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/base-power-company-network-administrator.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-29T21:26:43Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":31801,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-30T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":5219},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=5219"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fbase-power-company-network-administrator"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fbase-power-company-network-administrator"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fbase-power-company-network-administrator"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/base-power-company-network-administrator\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fbase-power-company-network-administrator"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":182442}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"basepower.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":182442},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
