You'll plan preventive maintenance, schedule repairs, track parts, and make sure the right technician has the right job at the right time. This role resides within the maintenance/facilities team - if a line goes down, or output stops, your planning is what keeps things moving.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, building infrastructure) and production line equipment\n\nTurn maintenance requests into work orders - prioritize by urgency, safety, and impact on production\n\nTrack parts and spares inventory for production equipment, and order what's needed before it runs out\n\nCoordinate with technicians, vendors, and outside contractors to schedule work around production schedules with minimal downtime\n\nMaintain accurate records in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) work orders, asset history, downtime\n\nTrack maintenance costs and flag equipment that's costing more to fix than replace\n\nRun weekly planning meetings with maintenance and production leads to review backlog and upcoming work\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n3+ years in maintenance planning or scheduling, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment\n\nExperience with a CMMS (MaintainX, Maximo, SAP, or similar)\n\nComfortable reading equipment manuals and basic mechanical/electrical schematics\n\nStrong organizational skills; juggling many work orders and know which one matters most today\n\nClear communicator; you'll be the point of contact between technicians, vendors, and production leaders\n\nEquipment spare parts BOM experience\n\nSpare parts crib management knowledge\n\nAbout the Team\nThe Facilities and Maintenance team is responsible for keeping Base Factory 1 running safely, reliably, and efficiently every hour of every shift. As Base scales production of home battery systems, this team builds the maintenance programs, reliability systems, and facility infrastructure that prevent downtime before it happens and enable manufacturing to meet growing customer demand. You'll have the opportunity to establish the foundation for a world-class maintenance organization-from preventive maintenance and spare parts strategy to equipment reliability and facility operations-rather than inheriting legacy systems.
