We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.\nAbout the Role\nThe Workplace Operations Manager owns the day-to-day workplace experience at our Austin headquarters. This role keeps the building running, manages the vendors who service it, and delivers the projects that make HQ a better place to work. With your ownership, the rest of the team can focus on their work instead of on the building.\nThis is a high-ownership, high-trust role. You'll be the person employees, vendors and leadership turn to when something at HQ needs to get done, and the person who spots problems before anyone else does.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn day-to-day operations at HQ, including space planning, cleanliness, supplies, building access and maintenance, and the workplace team at HQ.\n\nSelect, manage and hold accountable the facilities, food and service vendors who support HQ.\n\nRun HQ improvement projects from scope to punch list, including lighting, conference rooms and organization.\n\nManage conference rooms, desk assignments, and tickets and change requests.\n\nPlan and own events and onsite logistics for HQ.\n\nTrack and forecast the HQ workplace space needs and vendor spending.\n\nPartner with other members of the Workplace team, IT, and HR.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n5+ years of experience in workplace or office operations, including ownership of a site of similar size.\n\nSound judgment and excellent prioritization on what to fix now, what to schedule and what to escalate.\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nHigh level of proficiency using project management software, Jira and other workplace tools.\n\nExcited to be working in person and hands-on, from moving furniture to meeting a vendor at the door, with flexibility on hours when the business needs it.\n\nExperience with build-outs and a rapidly expanding company.\n\nAbout the Team\nWorkplace at Base runs on the idea that the best offices are the ones people don't have to think about.
