Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.\nTHE ROLE\nWe’re looking for a high-performing strategic finance professional to join our growing Product Finance team as the finance owner for Baseten's distribution and labs partnerships. You'll evaluate commercials, design deal structures, and make sure the rates we agree to fit our economics and that the value we get from each partnership ties back to our product strategy and compute needs. You'll partner directly with Partnerships, Product, Infrastructure, GTM, and Legal leadership. This is a builder role: much of what you'll own doesn't exist yet as a model, a dashboard or a process.\nThis role is ideal for someone with 7 to 10 years of experience across strategic finance, corporate development, investing, and/or investment banking who wants broad exposure to company-building inside a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nBuild deal models for distribution and labs partnerships across pricing, revenue share, commitments, and cost-to-serve\n\nEvaluate partner proposals and counters and recommend structures that protect margin while getting deals done\n\nOwn commercial frameworks for partnerships, including revenue share tiers, capacity pricing and partner rate cards\n\nQuantify each partnership's strategic value such as customer reach and model access, alongside its direct economics\n\nTie partner commitments and forecasts to Baseten's capacity and GPU supply plan\n\nTrack partnership performance after signing\n\nOwn the partnerships forecast and its contribution to the annual plan\n\nPartner with Product and Partnerships leadership on which partners to prioritize and how partnerships inform the roadmap\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n7+ years of experience in strategic finance at a high-growth company, corporate development, PE/VC investing, and/or investment banking\n\nDeep understanding of product unit economics and excellent financial modeling skills, including building deal models from raw usage and cost data\n\nExperience structuring commercial agreements and anticipating their downstream impacts such as pricing precedent, channel conflict, capacity commitments and margin\n\nAbility to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for executives and hold a point of view in deal discussions\n\nComfortable building from scratch and making decisions with incomplete data\n\nStrong attention to detail with a bias toward ownership and execution\n\nAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL or BI tools is a plus\n\nNICE TO HAVE\nExperience with GPU compute economics or cloud infrastructure\n\nFamiliarity with cloud marketplaces, AI gateways, or the commercial landscape for AI model labs\n\nExperience at a usage-based company\n\nBENEFITS\nCompetitive compensation, including meaningful equity\n\n(U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents\n\nFlexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)\n\nPaid parental leave\n\nFertility and family-building stipend through Carrot\n\n(U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)\n\nExposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.\n\nApply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI!
