At BASF, you’ll:\nMake an Impact: Conduct field trials to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices - all aimed at developing hybrid-specific recommendations for Western Canada.\nBuild Your Network: Work closely with the Agronomic Excellence team and collaborate with casual staff and regional experts.\nLearn by Doing: Get hands-on experience with all phases of field trial activities - from seed setup and planting to pest control, plot maintenance, and harvest.\nGrow Your Career: Gain exposure to agronomic research and hybrid development, setting the stage for future roles in agriculture.\nHave Fun: Expand your horizons through travel, hands-on learning in new environments, and opportunities to see innovation in action.\nStudents will be hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency - Raise Recruiting. If you are selected, you will be contacted about the summer employment opportunity directly.\nWhat You’ll Learn:\nHow to conduct agronomic field trials and analyze crop performance.\nThe practical application of seed technology and hybrid development.\nField scouting techniques and crop health diagnostics.\nLeadership and problem-solving skills in dynamic field conditions.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nConduct field trials with the Agronomic Excellence team.\nAssist with all phases of crop cycle activities - from land prep and planting to harvest.\nMonitor field and research plots, collect data, and analyze results.\nSupervise casual employees as needed.\nTravel regularly within your assigned territory for field scouting and diagnostics.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nYou’re currently enrolled in an agriculture or related degree program.\nYou’re passionate about agronomy, hybrid development, and field research.\nYou’re a strong communicator, organized, and ready to learn.\nYou have a valid driver’s license and are open to travel.\nYou’re familiar with agricultural equipment and field research practices (preferred but not required).\nYou’re detail-oriented and adaptable to changing field conditions.\nTo be eligible for this internship, you must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to studies following the internship.
