Further information is available on www.basf.com/in\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThe Semi-Senior Collections Analyst executes collection activities and reconciles accounts for low- and medium-complexity third-party customers and/or regions in a timely manner. The role manages customer communications, supports payment application and billing-discrepancy follow-up, monitors portfolio KPIs, assists with audit activities, participates in medium-sized projects, and identifies improvements to collection processes.\n\nWhat's In It for You\n\nBe part of building BASF's new Global Hub in India, a flagship transformation initiative\nWork with a globally integrated team spanning Finance and HR functions\nCompetitive compensation, benefits, and structured career pathways\nAccess to BASF's world-class learning & development programs\nInclusive, diverse, and collaborative work culture\nHybrid work model (mix of on-site and remote)\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nContact low- and medium-complexity customers through different communication channels, including email, telephone, and approved messaging channels, and send updated account statements to customers and responsible sales teams.\nProvide the Accounts Receivable team with the information required to apply received payments and keep customer information updated in the GetPaid collections tool.\nCommunicate billing discrepancies reported by customers to the appropriate team for resolution.\nParticipate in ad hoc meetings with customers and business teams.\nComply with the processes and requirements established in the applicable guidelines.\nAssist with the analysis, preparation, and documentation required for internal and external audits.\nParticipate in medium-sized projects with support from the designated focal point.\nMonitor portfolio KPIs, including overdue balances and DSO, for assigned low- and medium-complexity businesses and provide explanations when requested.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nEducation: Professional qualification in Finance (e.g. B com, CA, CPA, etc.) or MBA or Master degree in finance Accounting or related disciplines.\n\nWork Experience: 3-5 years of experience in customer service, collections, finance operations, or a related field.\n\nProcess Knowledge: Understanding of collections, customer-account reconciliation, payment application support, billing-discrepancy follow-up, audit documentation, and portfolio KPI monitoring.\n\nDecision-Making: Processes and actions are predefined in accordance with applicable guidelines.\n\nLeadership: No formal leadership experience is required.\n\nProject Experience: Experience participating in medium-sized projects is preferred.\n\nCore Skills: Effective communication, attention to detail, conflict resolution, critical thinking, teamwork, customer focus, organization, and prioritization.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nIntermediate working knowledge of SAP.\nAdvanced working knowledge of GetPaid or a comparable collections platform.\nAdvanced English, Portuguese, and/or Spanish proficiency is required according to the region supported.\nKnowledge of collections KPIs, including overdue balances and DSO.\nExperience preparing internal and external audit documentation.\nExperience in a shared services, multinational, or GCC environment is preferred.\n\nAbout BASF\n\nAt BASF, we believe that great chemistry starts with great people.
