Further information is available on www.basf.com/in\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThe Semi-Senior Master Data Business Partner Analyst controls and audits the accurate creation and modification of customer, supplier, and bank master data for the LATAM and North America regions within agreed service-level timelines. The role supports stakeholders, maintains strong customer focus, helps prevent fraud exposure, identifies process deviations, and contributes to local, regional, and global initiatives.\n\nWhat's In It for You\n\nBe part of building BASF's new Global Hub in India, a flagship transformation initiative\nWork with a globally integrated team spanning Finance and HR functions\nCompetitive compensation, benefits, and structured career pathways\nAccess to BASF's world-class learning & development programs\nInclusive, diverse, and collaborative work culture\nHybrid work model (mix of on-site and remote)\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nValidate, audit, and perform quality checks on customer, supplier, and bank master data for creation and modification requests in accordance with internal policies and procedures.\nHelp prevent potential fraud exposure by confirming that master-data requests meet applicable control, approval, and documentation requirements.\nExecute mass-change requests in compliance with internal policies and procedures.\nServe as the point of contact for project teams when initiatives may affect the Master Data area.\nMaintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders, global Master Data representatives, and other company functions to improve the user experience.\nPrepare presentations and reports, perform testing and duplicate analysis, maintain documentation, handle ad hoc requests, and deliver user training.\nIdentify process deviations and improvement opportunities, communicate them promptly, and propose practical solutions.\nRespond to inquiries, provide reports and analyses, and follow up on local, regional, or global initiatives with support from the FEX, Team Coordinator, and Manager.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nEducation: Professional qualification in Finance (e.g. B com, CA, CPA, etc.) or MBA or Master degree in finance / Accounting or related disciplines\n\nWork Experience: 3-5 years of experience in master-data maintenance, procurement, credit, finance operations, or a related field.\n\nProcess Knowledge: Solid understanding of customer, supplier, and bank master-data creation and maintenance, data-quality controls, duplicate analysis, service-level requirements, internal procedures, and fraud-risk prevention.\n\nDecision-Making: Tasks and responsibilities are completed under close guidance or alignment with the team lead.\n\nLeadership: No formal leadership experience is required.\n\nProject Experience: Formal project experience is not required, although the role serves as a contact for initiatives affecting the Master Data area.\n\nCore Skills: Teamwork, effective communication, customer focus, problem-solving, attention to detail, autonomy, organization, and stakeholder coordination.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nIntermediate working knowledge of SAP.\nAdvanced Spanish and intermediate English and/or Portuguese proficiency are required for the regional scope described in the source JD.\nExperience with customer, supplier, and bank master-data processes is preferred.\nAbility to prepare reports and presentations, perform testing and duplicate analysis, and maintain process documentation.\nExperience in a shared services, multinational, or GCC environment is preferred.\n\nAbout BASF\n\nAt BASF, we believe that great chemistry starts with great people.
