Further information is available on www.basf.com/in\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThe Master Data Business Partner Analyst ensures the accurate creation and modification of customer, supplier, and bank master data for the LATAM and/or North America regions within agreed service-level timelines. The role validates data quality, supports stakeholders and projects, follows internal controls and procedures, and maintains a strong focus on customer experience and fraud-risk prevention.\n\nWhat's In It for You\n\nBe part of building BASF's new Global Hub in India, a flagship transformation initiative\nWork with a globally integrated team spanning Finance and HR functions\nCompetitive compensation, benefits, and structured career pathways\nAccess to BASF's world-class learning & development programs\nInclusive, diverse, and collaborative work culture\nHybrid work model (mix of on-site and remote)\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nValidate and perform quality checks on customer, supplier, and bank master data for creation and modification requests in accordance with internal policies and procedures.\nHelp prevent potential fraud exposure by confirming that master-data requests meet applicable control and documentation requirements.\nExecute mass-change requests in compliance with internal policies and procedures.\nSupport local, regional, and global projects by participating in meetings, preparing reports, and responding to inquiries.\nMaintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders and other functions to improve the user experience.\nPrepare presentations and reports, perform testing, maintain documentation in Know It, handle ad hoc requests, and deliver user training.\nAct as a backup for other analysts when required.\nComplete assigned activities within agreed service-level timelines and promptly escalate issues when support is needed.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nEducation: Professional qualification in Finance (e.g. B com, CA, CPA, etc.) or MBA or Master degree in finance / Accounting or related disciplines.\n\nWork Experience: 3-5 years of experience in master-data maintenance, procurement, credit, finance operations, or a related field.\n\nProcess Knowledge: Understanding of customer, supplier, and bank master-data creation and maintenance, data-quality controls, internal procedures, service-level requirements, and fraud-risk prevention.\n\nDecision-Making: Tasks and responsibilities are completed under close guidance or alignment with the team lead.\n\nLeadership: No leadership experience is required.\n\nProject Experience: Project experience is not required, although exposure to local, regional, or global initiatives is an advantage.\n\nCore Skills: Teamwork, effective communication, customer focus, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage ad hoc requests.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nExposure to SAP or another ERP system is preferred.\nAdvanced Spanish, intermediate English, and basic Portuguese proficiency are required for the regional scope described in the source JD.\nExperience with customer, supplier, and bank master-data processes is preferred.\nAbility to prepare reports, presentations, process documentation, and testing evidence.\nExperience in a shared services, multinational, or GCC environment is preferred.\n\nAbout BASF\n\nAt BASF, we believe that great chemistry starts with great people.
