With teams in the lab, field, office and in production, we do everything in our power to build a sustainable future for agriculture.\n#ForTheLoveOfFarming #TheBiggestJobOnEarth #AgEmployerOfChoice\nHere you can gain more insight into our Vision at BASF Agricultural Solutions!\nAs a Lead Plant Operator, you create chemistry by...\nOperating and overseeing seed-processing equipment and related systems across receiving, cleaning, conditioning, treatment, packaging, warehousing, inventory movement and shipping, while monitoring throughput, process efficiency and quality controls. \nCoordinating and leading daily plant activities as a shift lead and technical resource by prioritizing work assignments, reallocating resources and supporting production schedules and staffing plans to achieve operational goals. \nTroubleshooting plant processes and equipment, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime, and supporting preventive-maintenance planning and equipment-readiness activities. \nEnsuring processing activities are completed safely and accurately in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, stewardship requirements, production plans, quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements. \nPromoting safe work practices and supporting BASF EHS and Responsible Care programs through safety meetings, inspections, Job Safety Analysis development, incident investigations, corrective actions and stop-work decisions when safety, quality, stewardship or compliance concerns exist. \nServing as the primary technical trainer for plant procedures, equipment operation, troubleshooting and safety practices, while supporting employee development and cross-training to strengthen workforce capability and flexibility. \nMaintaining accurate operational records and compliance documentation and contributing to continuous-improvement initiatives and implementation of operational best practices. \nIf you...\nHold a high school diploma or GED; an equivalent combination of education and relevant operational experience will be considered. \nBring at least three years of experience in seed processing, agricultural manufacturing, warehouse operations or industrial production environments. \nDemonstrate experience operating and troubleshooting multiple plant processes and equipment systems. \nApply advanced knowledge of seed conditioning, cleaning, treatment, packaging, warehousing, inventory management and logistics. \nLead with demonstrated team-development, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and coordinate multiple operational prioriies effectively. \nUtilize inventory-management systems, SAP, Microsoft Office and plant operational-reporting systems to support accurate execution and documentation. \nOperate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. \nCreate your own chemistry with you@BASF\nAt BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
