Within Indirect Procurement, the workload is expected to be split roughly evenly between Services and Materials, with a slightly greater emphasis on the Services category.\nWorking closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and suppliers, you will contribute to cost optimization, supply reliability, and procurement compliance. You will support sourcing activities, supplier relationship management, and the implementation of procurement initiatives that drive operational efficiency and business value.\nA key aspect of this role is leading supplier negotiations and competitive tender processes to secure the best commercial outcomes. Through effective sourcing strategies, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement, you will identify opportunities to deliver sustainable cost savings, mitigate supply risks, and create measurable value for the business.\nIn addition, the role and responsibilities will be determined according to the successful candidate's experience and the corresponding job grade level.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecute global and regional category strategies at the local site level\nLead RFx processes, supplier tenders, and commercial negotiations within assigned categories\nManage supplier selection, contract implementation, and contract compliance\nMonitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives\nAnalyze procurement data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities\nSupport procurement optimization initiatives through standardization, bundling, and value creation projects\nCollaborate closely with business, operations, engineering, and other internal stakeholders\nAct as the key interface between local stakeholders and global procurement teams\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline\nAt least 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, and strategic sourcing\nExperience in supplier negotiations and contract management\nBusiness-level Japanese and professional working proficiency in English\nGood working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications\nPreferred\nProcurement experience within manufacturing or chemical industries\nExperience supporting multi-site operations\nKnowledge of cost analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO), and benchmarking methodologies\nProject management
