We’re seeking two versatile technicians who can perform mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation repairs-someone who enjoys variety and is eager to learn across disciplines.\n\"This position is part of a job family with multiple levels and will be filled at a level that is commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. \"\nDuring your 8-hour evening shift as a Maintenance Technician, you will\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.\nTroubleshoot and repair issues in industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.\nInstall, test, and verify new equipment and systems according to specifications, drawings, and safety standards.\nCollaborate with other maintenance team members and production staff to resolve equipment issues efficiently.\nDocument maintenance activities and communicate updates to supervisors and peers.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.\nParticipate in training and cross-training to build proficiency across all required skill areas.\nIf you have...\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nCompletion of a 2-year skilled trades program (community college or similar) OR at least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant environment.\nDemonstrated ability and willingness to learn new skills and work independently after a period of mentored training.\nBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems (not required to be an expert in all areas).\nExperience with hand and power tools, and safe operation of forklifts or manlifts (preferred).\nExperience with pneumatic cylinder, pumps, gearbox, and fabrication is a plus\nElectrical troubleshooting skills, including basic competence with an electrical meter (preferred)\nExperience with industrial electrical and mechanical hardware is a plus\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.\nFlexibility to work second shift, with occasional overtime or call-ins as needed.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nStand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.\nWork in a variety of environments, including heights, confined spaces, and around hazardous materials (with appropriate PPE).\nCreate your own chemistry with you@BASF\nAt BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
