Further information is available on www.basf.com/in\nAbout the Role:\nThe primary purpose of this role is to provide expert support in Book-to-Report (B2R) activities, driving process excellence, standardization, and automation while ensuring compliance with global accounting and reporting requirements.\nWhat's In It for You:\nBe part of building BASF's new Global Hub in India, a flagship transformation initiative\nWork with a globally integrated team spanning Finance and HR functions\nCompetitive compensation, benefits, and structured career pathways\nAccess to BASF's world-class learning & development programs\nInclusive, diverse, and collaborative work culture\nHybrid work model (mix of on-site and remote) \nKey Responsibilties:\nProvide end-to-end B2R process, technical, and business expertise to support Service Delivery Units.\nSupport the transition of new service scopes, ensuring adherence to global SOPs, tools, and change management requirements. \nDesign, steer, standardize, and continuously improve global Product Costing & Inventory Valuation processes.\nEnsure end-to-end process consistency and alignment with BASF’s enterprise architecture.\nOwn and manage the global service portfolio, including KPIs, controls, compliance requirements, and service definitions.\nDrive finance systems and project initiatives, including process optimization, IT modernization, and maintenance/control of relevant SAP tables and systems.\nEnsure proper documentation and governance of technical solutions and process changes.\nDrive automation, RPA, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual activities, and enhance process effectiveness.\nEnsure process readiness and integration for major transformation programs and system transitions, including SAP S/4HANA.\nBuild strong relationships with B2R Service Delivery teams, Controlling communities, Corporate Center functions, and global stakeholders to align process and technology improvements with business needs. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.\nMore than 5 years of experience in Finance.\nMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in Product Costing & Inventory Valuation.\nProfessional accounting certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is strongly preferred.\nFluent In English\nTechnical Skills:\n Strong expertise in SAP FI (R/3 and/or S/4HANA), with in-depth understanding of core financial processes.\n Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (mandatory).\n Proven experience and deep functional knowledge Product Costing & Inventory Valuation in global shared services environments, including transitions, migrations, or process consolidations.\n Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive decisions and operate with a high degree of autonomy.\n Knowledge and experience of MS office tools.\n Strong lateral leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.\n Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and reliable outputs.\nAbout BASF:\nAt BASF, we believe that great chemistry starts with great people.
