As a Production Engineer, you will strive to achieve sustainable target performance from process and plant, while ensuring full compliance with complex regulatory requirements.
As a Production Engineer, you create chemistry by...
- Ensuring that all activities within your area of responsibility are carried out in compliance with BASF regulations, the site Responsible Care Management System, and all relevant State and Federal regulations.
- Monitoring and analyzing plant and process performance, asset effectiveness, and quality data to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions and improvement opportunities.
- Providing technical support and direction to the Shift Supervisors and operators in the resolution of plant problems.
- Coordinating, supporting, and implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental regulatory requirements within your area of responsibility.
- Programming and performing basic maintenance on distributive control systems.
- Providing support for contractor oversight, management of plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and start up.
- Creating, reviewing, and updating operations documentation, and implementing training for the operations team when technical changes are required.
If you...
- Have an education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Have experience in chemical manufacturing or process development; 3 - 5 years of experience is preferred.
- Have knowledge of the chemical industry and OSHA safety, health, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards (including PSM - Process Safety Management).
