HIRA, Procedures, Working Instructions, and Work Checklists.\nManage the inventory of materials and tools, including staging materials for production and packaging by conducting periodic stock counts.\nSupport on evaluating training needs for the operation, to ensure they are provided the adequate training for operation and continuous improvement.\nResponsible as 5S leader coordinator for Production Department.\nReview process condition and downtime report, GAP reporting and propose for improvement.\nRepresent the Production Manager on production matter during the Production Manager absence.\nEnsure effectiveness of the implementation audit for Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and IATF 16949 Quality Management System for the automotive industry.\nEnsure good housekeeping and proper handovers among shift team members.\nOther production-related tasks assigned by superiors.\nJob Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymers Science or Chemical Engineering.\nAt least 5 - 8 years’ of experience in delivering technical expertise in a plastics compounding manufacturing plant.\nPosses demonstrated track record of leading through influence, providing expert technical guidance, and partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS teams to achieve safe and reliable plant performance.\nProficient in production management software (e.g., ERP systems, MES).\nHold strong production and operations background with the ability to independently support troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and investigations across Production, EHS and Quality.\nHave proven continuous improvement capability, including practical application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency, waste reduction, asset utilization, and sustained nameplate performance.\nHighly effective collaborator with strong attention to detail and communication skills, able to coordinate complex activities and influence priorities across cross functional teams without formal supervisory authority.\nKnowledgeable on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TS 16949 and ISO 45001 requirements.\nBASF has been present in Malaysia since 1989, and operates a manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
