At BASF, careers develop from opportunities .\nAbout the Role\nAccording to the supervisor’s direction and plant production guidance, generating state-of-the-art and novel design input for projects and process improvements\nProvide creative solutions where current standard practice does not deliver required resultsTechnology support during new projects\n\nHow You Will Do It\nProcess Management\nDesign input covering chemistry and chemical engineering to ensure the timely production and quality of finished and intermediate products and to eliminate deficiencies to ensure products meet plant standards\nTechnical process optimization; monitor and analyze parameters\nAnalyze complex process problems and identify when to involve additional specialists\nResponsibility for process safety, SHE reviews, and follow-up actions implementation\n\nTechnology ManagementProvide feasibility calculations by utilizing scientific tools, literature, and expert networks\nConsult, guide, and coach project improvement teams during planning, execution, or trial phases\nDefine, monitor, and control KPIs for technical processes\nManage process automation and digitalization\n\nNew Project SupportDuring new project launch, support the technology manager on operational aspects, including raw materials, training, manufacturing manuals, quality control, and technology-related safety\nProvide OpEx plans and monitor implementation of approved OpEx plans\n\nNew Product LaunchSupport R&D in developing formulas for new products\nAssist supervisors to ensure smooth and successful product introduction into production\n\nProduction DocumentationProvide updated records/data to relevant supervisors\nUpdate all production procedures and ISO documents; set up process performance recordings using advanced DCS and online tools\n\nPersonnel TrainingProvide training for MOCs, including basic functions of new chemistry and equipment, start-up procedures, and fine-tuning\n\nWhat We Look For\nEducation Background: At least bachelor’s in chemical engineering, chemical process.
