We are focused on the modernization of legacy systems and development of new capabilities of digital solutions in the Operational EHS domain. There is a growing global need within BASF to leverage digitalization to continue BASF’s journey of EHS excellence and continuously improving our capabilities especially through digitalization.\nIn this role, you will work alongside a global development team to create and iteratively improve upon a global, internal full stack development solution for the occupational safety domain with a focus on an open source stack and a cloud-based platform.\nRole:\nAs a test automation engineer for the Operational EHS Platform and Integration team, you will be part of a global, multidisciplinary team responsible for the development of an internal platform for daily use globally at BASF production facilities.\n\nYou will develop programs that will test the accuracy and reliability of internally developed software solutions for each module during its initial development and on an ongoing basis, especially in advance of major updates/deployments.\n\nDrive automation coverage and quality for your modules (prioritization, maintainability, and reducing flaky tests).\n\nYou will collaborate with members of the Operational EHS Solutions team to define test cases and ensure testing is comprehensive and accurate\n\nYou will provide feedback to the full-stack developer team and provide recommendations for corrective approaches for any issues identified during the testing process.\n\nOwn the test approach for your assigned modules, aligned with the globally defined strategy.\n\nRequirements:\nEducation\nDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field.\nWork experience\nMore than 5+ years as QA Automatorfor a large team\n\nMore than 5+ years as Manual QA for a large team\n\nTechnical&ProfessionalKnowledge(mandatory)\nExperience in development and testing, with programming skills in JavaScript\n\nExperience in test automation UI / API test development, utilizing design patterns and automation framework such as Playwright, Selenium or similar.\n\nExperience in Manual testingand exploratory testing\n\nSolid understanding of QA methodologies\n\nImprove delivery speed by preventing defects and reducing rework through early testing and automation\n\nThe ability to predict common user workflows in order to design effective tests.\n\nExperience in test design, performance testing, and configuration management\n\nTechnical&ProfessionalKnowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)\nISTQB Certifications\n\nLoad testing knowledge (Locust, Jmeter, etc)\n\nExcellent issue isolation, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.\n\nKnowledge of DevOps tools for development, release, and monitoring\n\nExperience working in an agile scrum based team\n\nExperience learning independently and coaching others\n\nWHAT WE OFFER\nBe part of a global leader in digital transformation, working in a vibrant Digital Hub that values innovation, agility, and cross-functional collaboration.
