Our experts co-create products with customers to bring innovations to major industry sectors such as transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction.These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by pushing the boundaries in thermal resistance, robustness and lightweight applications.\nAs a Chemical Plant Operator for our Wyandotte TPU Plant, you will be responsible for all aspects of personal safety, product quality, and operating all aspects of the extrusion lines and their auxiliary and utility equipment including truck unloading and packout. Work 14 out of 28 days in a 12-hour rotating shift.\nDuring your 12-hour shift (day/night) as a TPU Operator, you will\nOperating PLC systems and environmental control systems\nReading, recording, and interpreting data from various industrial equipment such as extruders\nMaking safe, prompt, and effective corrective adjustments to ensure efficient production, including troubleshooting\nControlling flows, pressures, reactions, temperatures, and material makeup for batch sheets and formula cards\nHandling transfer of solutions/batches and loading/unloading chemicals from tanks, trucks, and rail cars\nPerforming maintenance tasks such as visual inspections of operating equipment\nFollowing verbal and written instructions from the Shift Supervisor, standard procedures, batch sheets, and loading sheets\nCross-training in additional production areas and supporting team members in tasks and problem-solving\nParticipating in miscellaneous duties such as painting, cleanouts, assistance during plant outages, and maintaining operating condition of key equipment.\nIf you...\nPossess a High School Diploma/GED or minimum of 6 months experience in manufacturing or production environment\nAre open to 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime\nPossess intermediate computer skills (computerized process system, internet, email, MS Office, SAP, etc.)\nAre willing to comply with site respirator policies by grooming facial hair accordingly (if applicable)\nAre willing to work for prolonged periods in indoor/outdoor settings while wearing proper PPE\nAre able to engage in high activity tasks including standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
