# Forward Deployed Engineer

Build the financial data foundation, side by side with Finance You don’t want to just build pipelines. You want to understand how Finance really works with data, and build for that. You want to see a data platform that Finance trusts because of what you built. At Basic-Fit, Finance is moving onto our central Databricks platform. As the Forward Deployed Engineer for Finance, you’ll be the data engineer dedicated to this team: close to the business, and building to the same standards as the rest of our platform. This Is What Your Role Looks Like You’ll join the Data Platform Team as the Forward Deployed Engineer for Finance. Instead of building one capability for many teams, you focus on one business domain: you spend part of your time embedded with Finance, learning their workflows and constraints, and the rest with the Data Platform Team. You report into Data Platform and build and run everything end to end, following our standards for coding, security and governance.
