What you design today will be used tomorrow by teams in operations, marketing, finance, and beyond.\nThis Is What Your Role Looks Like\nYou’ll join the central Data Platform Team and play a key role in the foundation of Basic-Fit’s data landscape, helping set the direction while also building it hands-on.\nIn a typical week, you might:\ndesign and build scalable batch and streaming pipelines in Databricks\nco-own architectural decisions and help set standards for engineering, CI/CD and platform best practices\ntake a driving role in the migration of legacy pipelines to a modern Databricks platform\ndrive performance, cost, governance, and reliability across the platform\nevaluate and introduce new Databricks capabilities (Lakeflow Connect, Databricks Apps, dashboards) and take them from idea to production\nuse AI and agents to automate engineering work and improve data quality\nshare your knowledge with medior and junior engineers through code reviews and pairing\nGood ideas don’t stay in slide decks here - they get built, and you’ll help build them.\nThe team you’ll work with\nYou’ll be part of a multidisciplinary Data Platform Team with:\nData Platform Engineers\nAnalysts\nBI Developers\nData Scientists\nTogether, you support almost every department at Basic-Fit, enabling teams to act on reliable, well-governed data. As a senior, you’ll be a go-to person for colleagues and stakeholders, while working side by side with the rest of the team.\n Who Are You?\nYou don’t need to tick every box. You will thrive here if most of this sounds familiar:\n3+ years of hands-on Databricks experience in production\nStrong SQL, PySpark and Python, with a track record of clean, tested, maintainable code\nExperience building and running production pipelines, both batch and streaming (e.g. Lakeflow/Delta Live Tables, Structured Streaming, Azure Data Factory)\nExperience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code (e.g. Azure DevOps, Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles)\nSolid knowledge of data modelling, governance, security and cost optimisation on a cloud data platform\nExperience contributing to architectural decisions or migrations, and explaining trade-offs to technical and non-technical colleagues\nExcellent communication skills in English\nBonus points: experience applying AI and LLMs to data engineering, keeping up with new Databricks features, mentoring other engineers, and Power BI or another reporting tool.\nWhat We Offer You\nAt Basic-Fit, it’s not just about work, it’s about your growth.
