The team also prioritizes efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement to support a more scalable and effective close and reporting cadence.\nWAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE\nThis position leads the full accounting team and will be responsible for providing strategic direction for technical and complex accounting matters. This role will also take ownership of the completion and review of accounting team deliverables in compliance with appropriate U.S. GAAP accounting standards. In addition, you will research and assess plans for implementation of new standards and policies into the financial statements. You will contribute by:\nLead the Accounting and accounting operations teams through month-end close, including ensuring revenue and costs are accurately recorded; preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries in a timely manner; preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations; identifying opportunities to shorten the close process; and partnering with FP&A and tax on month-end reports and close deliverables (35%)\n\nMentoring, coaching, and leading the Accounting team by supporting career development, removing roadblocks, encouraging team members to expand their skills and take on new challenges, and helping them succeed in their day-to-day work (25%)\n\nLeading the annual audit by partnering with internal and external auditors throughout the year to support compliance with applicable standards (20%)\n\nCoordinating the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and other external reporting deliverables (10%)\n\nAnalyzing, researching, and documenting relevant accounting guidance and interpretations to determine the Company’s accounting approach for complex topics, including equity, share-based compensation, leases, revenue recognition, and business combinations; preparing accounting memos; and proactively reviewing accounting implications with the Company’s auditors, including the impact of newly issued accounting standards and SEC reporting rules (10%)\n\nIdentifying areas for process improvement, partnering with appropriate stakeholders, and implementing improvements independently, including the use of AI tools and automation to reduce manual effort across the Accounting team\n\nActing as subject matter expert and resource for questions on all technical and complex accounting topics applicable to our business\n\nOwning the hierarchy, scalability, and accuracy of the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial statements, including decision-making over transaction classification and recording\n\nServing as a liaison with FP&A on related tasks, including monthly and annual budget forecasts\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE\n10+ years of accounting experience\n\n4+ years of experience managing an accounting team, including remote work management\n\nComprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP\n\nActive CPA license\n\nConfidence communicating financial results and accounting implications to relevant stakeholders\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and partner with management to establish appropriate deadlines\n\nStrong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally to meet deadlines\n\nUnderstanding of internal controls and experience creating process documentation\n\nExperience using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or similar large language models, to improve efficiency\n\nThoughtful approach to collaboration, process design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous
