In this role, you’ll play an important part in keeping our kitchen clean, safe, and organized while helping our culinary team deliver an exceptional dining experience.\nYour responsibilities will include washing and sanitizing kitchen equipment, dishes, glassware, and flatware; maintaining kitchen cleanliness; safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment; and completing daily and weekly cleaning assignments. You’ll also help with food rotation and labeling, organize and store fresh food deliveries, manage waste, and support other back-of-house operations as needed.\nIf you’re dependable, organized, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you. Available shifts are 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday availability is required.\nEssential Functions:\nMaintains cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, supplies, pots/pans, small wares, china, glass, and silver according to established safety standards and regulations.\nOperate dishwasher and other kitchen cleaning equipment.\nCleans kitchen floors following standard procedures.\nApplies knowledge of safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.\nMaintains and records data on required logs per company policies and procedures.\nCompletes daily and weekly cleaning assignments per task lists.\nRegularly empties trash containers; shifts and cleans garbage cans; properly operates compactor.\nMinimizes loss and breakage through proper use, cleaning and storage of equipment and supplies.\nPerforms duties in a timely and efficient manner and on a schedule determined by kitchen and dining operations.\nIdentifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nRequired:\nAble to understand, retain and apply basic instructions to perform routine tasks with limited supervision.\nAble to read and interpret work-related documents, including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and labels.\nAble to perform strenuous physical labor, lifting, carrying, etc.\nReliable, predictable, and punctual, to provide timely service to internal and external customers and to support uninterrupted business operations.\nPreferred:\n1 year experience.\nSanitation Certificate.\nShifts vary, flexibility in scheduling preferred.\nThe hourly base wage range provided is a good faith estimate of what Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting.
