This includes the development of Workers Compensation claims policies and procedures, claim analytics, recommendations for loss prevention and financial mitigation, assessing and directing Bass Pro’s Third-Party Administrator, and consultation, coordination, and collaboration with Bass Pro site personnel and Corporate Safety to in delivering benefits in the most timely and efficient manner possible. Additional responsibilities include, recovery management, data integrity, discovery response assistance.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nOversee and coordination of workers’ compensation claims administration within assigned territory. Communication with adjusters, defense counsel, physicians, nurses, employees to provide oversight, strategy, direction, and authority regarding claims management. \nProduce and analyze WC claims data reports to identify and coordinate loss prevention strategies with Corporate Safety and Bass Pro locations.\nManage monopolistic states workers compensation policy administration, filings, premiums, etc.\nWorkers Compensation process development, implementation, and communication to include management of Risk Management SharePoint site.\nALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED\nEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum degree of BS/BA in Finance, Risk Management, or its equivalent \nPreferred Degree: Risk Management\nCertificate(s) or License(s):\nExperience: 2 - 5 years of experience in Workers Compensation claims administration\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: \nKnowledge of Workers Compensation benefit laws preferably in multi-state jurisdictions\nStrong communication and negotiation skills\nStrong analytical skills and attention to details to identify patterns and trends\nAbility to be flexible in tasks assigned and think strategically\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:\nNone\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nRegularly performs computer work and sits.\nOccasionally walks and stands.\nSeldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.\nINDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:\nPerforms duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices.
