Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York is seeking full-time BC/BE Anesthesiologists.

• Salary Range: $600,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $200,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY and Network
• Residency/Fellowship Stipend: Up to $60,000

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Academic Excellence: Join Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
• Collaborative Practice: Work with a team of 13 physicians and 25 CRNAs in a supportive medical direction model with opportunities for solo cases.
• Diverse & High-Quality Care: Provide full-spectrum anesthesia services to a diverse patient population with a strong focus on safety and quality (staffing ratios 1:2 /1:3).
• Life-Work Balance: Manage a reasonable call schedule (3-4 per month) with post-call day off and nocturnist support to limit overnight shifts.
• Teaching & Growth: Opportunities to teach SRNAs, medical students, and residents, with access to mentoring and leadership development.
• Flexible Locations: Practice across Cooperstown, Oneonta, Cobleskill, and Little Falls, with flexibility for anesthesiologists living in Albany, Binghamton, Utica, or Syracuse.
• Visa Sponsorship: J-1 and H-1B available.

Requirements

• BC/BE in Anesthesiology
• Completion of an accredited USA Anesthesiology residency, successful completion of which results in board eligibility
• New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• Strong teamwork, patient-centered approach, and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary academic setting.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $600,000
• This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation rate at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $200,000
• Residency Stipend: Up to $60,000 available up to 18 months prior to graduation
