Tomorrow can’t wait, let’s shape it together!\nBAT DBShas an exciting opportunity for an Operations Performance Manager in Penang, Malaysia\nRole Summary:\nWhat are the key objectives and expectations from this role?\nNew Categories (NC) Operations covers 30+ markets 3 Commercial Regions and the US, a diverse range of cultures and volatile operating environments.\nNC Operations is also driving supplier process and system standardisation, as well as building capability within the suppliers’ network on core processes, and exception-based management.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nDaily liaison and supply base management for Quality, Cost and Delivery.\nResolves supplier issues and concerns immediately which threaten supply and demand.\nDrives Manufacturing Performance KPI reviews daily / weekly.\nDelivers and manages an effective and flexible supply base.\nEnsures manufacturing capacity is optimised to deliver future demand.\nAssesses performance in the supply base to increase output without impacting quality.\nWorks closely with the Supplier to deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives.\nEnsures good Project Management principles are applied and all risks, issues and opportunities are correctly and timely communicated.\nWhat are we looking for?\nEngineering background in the electronic consumer industry (10 years).\nA proven track record of managing first tier suppliers and subsequent supply chains.\nProven project management skills with robust action and recovery plans, focussing on maintaining delivery to schedule whilst applying permanent solutions.\nExperience working within monthly & weekly control cycles\nThe ability to call and facilitate effective reviews both internally and within the supply chain, prioritising actions and allocating accountability to deliver the targets we set.\nBachelor’s in electrical or mechanical or engineering preferred\nTechnical/Functional/Leadership Skills Required:Very good understanding of Production processes.\nVery good understanding in Supply planning processes.\nExperienced in Root Cause Analysis and FMEA\nExperienced & successful launched in Lean, six-sigma, automation, OEE, MES areas\nThe ability to drive suppliers performance align with company goals and strategies\nThe ability to train and educate inexperienced suppliers and groups toward mastering these standard tools.\nAbility to generate, ‘cost down’ opportunities to reduce waste throughout the process.\nDemonstrable interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence stakeholders across the commercial and operational business including suppliers.\nBusiness focused and proven change agent with project management skills (preferably in a Prince II environment).\n\nSkills / technical tools:Process management and analysis\nPPAP (Production Part Approval Process)\nAPQP (Advance Product Quality Planning)\nFMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) Process and Design\nRCA (Root Cause Analysis)\nLean Six Sigma or relevant continuous improvement tools\n5S - Sort-Straighten-Shine-Standardise-Sustain\nVSM (Value Stream Mapping)\nVery experienced in electronic consumer industry\nVery experienced in injection moulding & tooling\nVery experienced in automation & Assembly processes\nVery advanced in excel and modelling\nAdvanced in Power Point presentation\n\nWhat we offer you?\nWe offer a market leading annual performance bonus (subject to eligibility)\nOur range of benefits varies by country and includes diverse health plans, initiatives for work-life balance, transportation support, and a flexible holiday plan with additional incentives\nYour journey with us isn't limited by boundaries; it's propelled by your aspirations.
