Tomorrow can’t wait, let’s shape it together!\nBritish American Tobacco Sweden has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Laboratory Coordinator in Malmö.\nThe Quality Laboratory Coordinator leads and oversees the day-to-day operations of the factory Quality Laboratory, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in compliance with BAT Quality standards, legal requirements, and regulatory expectations.\nAs the laboratory's technical lead, the role drives excellence through robust analytical practices, equipment reliability, data integrity, and capability development. The Quality Laboratory Coordinator supports factory decision-making through accurate quality data, ensures laboratory compliance, and drives continuous improvement across laboratory operations and performance.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nLead, coach, and develop a team of 6-8 laboratory professionals, ensuring strong technical capability, engagement, and performance.\nManage day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure timely testing and release of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.\nEnsure the accuracy, reliability, integrity, and timely delivery of all laboratory testing results.\nMaintain compliance with BAT Quality standards, GMP, HACCP, local regulatory requirements, and applicable quality management systems.\nOwn and maintain laboratory systems, including SOPs, test methods, equipment calibration, validation activities, and documentation control.\nEnsure data integrity, traceability, and proper documentation of all laboratory activities, testing records, and quality results.\nLead investigations into quality issues, OOS (Out of Specification) results, and laboratory deviations, implementing effective RCA and CAPA actions.\nSupport factory performance through quality data analysis, reporting, NCP coordination, New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, and IWS Quality Pillar initiatives.\nComply and implement activities in accordance with the rules of laws and regulations relating to environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures. \nWhat are we looking for?\n2-4+ years of experience in Quality Control laboratory operations within a manufacturing environment.\nPrevious experience leading teams and coordinating laboratory workloads in a fast-paced operational setting.\nExperience managing OOS investigations, quality deviations, audit preparation, and regulatory inspections.\nProven experience in laboratory method validation, equipment qualification, calibration programs, and quality system management.\nStrong knowledge of analytical testing techniques, including physical, chemical, and/or microbiological analysis.\nSolid understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, laboratory compliance requirements, and data integrity principles.\nProficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA management, structured problem-solving methodologies, sampling plans, and statistical quality tools.\nTechnical qualification or degree in a scientific or technical discipline, with GMP, HACCP, or Laboratory Quality certification required; ISO 17025 and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt knowledge or certification preferred.\nWhat we offer you?\nWe offer a market leading annual performance bonus (subject to eligibility)\nOur range of benefits varies by country and includes diverse health plans, initiatives for work-life balance, transportation support, and a flexible holiday plan with additional incentives \nYour journey with us isn't limited by boundaries; it's propelled by your aspirations.
