Tomorrow can’t wait, let’s shape it together!\nPurpose Statement\nTo manage the Factory Utilities Department whose main duties are to provide Engineering Services (Technical/Maintenance of Infrastructures/Hardware Systems, etc.) and to supply utilities (power, steam, air, vacuum, water, etc.) to support manufacturing and administrative activities in the factory.\n1. Principal Accountabilities\n1.1 Business\nUtilities & Engineering Management\nEffectively manage the Engineering Maintenance & Utilities expenditure and assets within the agreed budget.\nResponsible for continuity in the supply of utilities to ensure 100% availability for production to proceed unhindered.\nManage utilities and building management control systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, etc.) to their optimum condition.\nProvide adequate support to ensure all approved Engineering Capital Expenditures are completed on time, in full, and within budget.\nAct as a consultant to all internal departments regarding proactive energy consumption management.\nCompliance & Quality\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to engineering installations at the site.\nMaintain continuous focus on EH&S within Engineering Utilities, following all EH&S guidelines and standards.\nSupport the Production Department through prompt response to support requests to help ensure product quality.\n1.2 Leadership\nPeople Leadership & Development\nMaintain a professional and motivated team through appropriate training and development to ensure succession for all key positions.\nPromote coaching and champion people development at all organizational levels to create a self-sustaining organization.\nIdentify and coach employees with growth potential.\nEnsure all team members have development plans and participate in regular performance discussions.\nCulture & Engagement\nFoster a culture of openness supported by change management principles to prepare the organization for change and innovation.\nImplement the engineering strategy and support local Operations objectives.\nCommunicate clear objectives to ensure employee engagement and inspiration.\nChampion One Business Unit ways of working and support cross-functional collaboration beyond the factory.\nCommunication & Coordination\nHold regular meetings with team members to communicate:Monthly results\nCompany news and changes\nOngoing projects\nAction plans for the following month\n\nCoordinate and support projects, workstreams, and local committees.\n1.3 Relationships\nInternal Collaboration\nWork closely with:SMD\nFMD\nQA\nLogistics\nPlanning\nContractors\n\nto minimize downtime and maximize utilities efficiency.\nExternal Relationships\nMaintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies and local authorities to ensure quality service delivery to the factory.\n1.4 Management\nOperational Excellence\nDevelop safe, healthy, and effective working conditions within the relevant factory areas.\nEnsure there are no production interruptions due to factory service failures.\nEnsure utilities services are delivered at the highest quality level in a cost-effective manner.\nPerformance & Budget Management\nEstablish targets in line with Coplan and Factory Top Team requirements.\nEnsure achievement of agreed targets across:Manufacturing Cost\nQuality\nEH&S\nOther operational KPIs\n\nDevelop, submit, and control revenue budgets.\n1.5 Innovation\nContinuous Improvement\nCreate an environment that encourages continuous improvement and innovation from:The Utilities Department\nOther factory departments\nOther BAT locations\n\nBest Practices & Technology\nDevelop and implement:Best practices\nCommon platforms\nTechnology strategies\nKnowledge sharing initiatives\nCross-factory collaboration within Operations\n\n2.
