Pakistan Tobacco Company has an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead - SMD in Akora Khattak, Pakistan
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Schedule and control shift operations effectively to achieve daily and monthly production targets
- Ensure scheduled downtime and seamless operation of machines to meet Master Production Schedule targets and support the IWS philosophy
- Manufacture high-quality products by meeting/exceeding quality targets in terms of Q2S and Q2C by following agreed quality processes
- Improve processes to reduce/eliminate market complaints and ensure product integrity
- Deploy workforce effectively as per agreed crewing pattern to achieve desired output
- Achieve outstanding outcomes in Process Reliability, Planned and Unplanned Downtime while meeting the Master Production Schedule
- Lead issue resolution to Root Cause on the floor of chronic stops
- Lead the Shift Transition Meeting, per the Site DDS DMS
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Experience in managing operations through internships or employment (0.5 - 1 year) is a plus
- Strong technical concepts in machine build, technical drawings, electrical systems
- Proven ability to mentor and develop others on the shop floor
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, unionized, and digitally-focused environment
- Sound skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate is advantageous
