The right individual will work with the project manager team and aid with engineering responsibilities which will include design and field observation activities as well as document production in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM, building information modeling). Interns will have the opportunity to witness field installations of the systems and to work alongside senior engineering staff.\nThis is an in-office opportunity, not eligible for relocation.\nJob Responsibilities/Accountabilities:\nPrecon Assistance\nTakeoff’s \nEstimate reviews\nJob-site walk thru’s \nOther/Miscellaneous tasks for putting together an estimate and proposal\nOperations - PM Assistance\nSubmittal and RFI processing\nAttending meetings and tracking action items/notes\nVendor and subcontractor management assistance\nRegular field visits to interface with foremen\nJobsite inspections for schedule, quality and safety reviews\nCompiling closeout documents\nEnd of Assignment Presentation\nKnowledge, skill and ability requirements (minimum competencies required for job performance)\nInterested in working in the MEP field\nIntermediate experience in Access and Excel\nEffective statistical analysis skills\nEffective research and communication skills\nEnthusiasm, idealism, creativity and dedication to getting results\nAbility to work collaboratively and independently\nAbility to interact and communicate effectively across business units\nExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills\nPrior work experience and educational requirements\nMust be currently enrolled in an engineering degree program at an accredited US college or university\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands are those associated with working in a typical office environment and miscellaneous field travel\nNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
