If you are looking to grow your career and thrive in a team environment, then we invite you to apply for this position.\nWe are seeking an Project Engineer who will assist the Project and Senior Project Managers with the administrative tasks surrounding the design phase, pre-construction and construction phase project management including managing scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, out-to-bid process, and assist with overseeing the work of the design team. All candidates must meet the following expectations and be able to work independently with minimal oversight.\nJob Responsibilities/Accountabilities:\nWork directly with Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects\nCompletes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.\nReviews drawings for correctness. \nAssembles miscellaneous details necessary to prepare job bid proposals. \nDevelops relationships with sub-contractors and interacts with them to secure necessary information for job bids. \nSupport Project Manager in collecting the necessary information to complete the monthly Work in Progress, (WIP) report.\nAssist with projecting and adherence to job budget and timing of tasks.\nMaintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and surfacing issues to be resolved. May interface with sub-contracts as necessary to meet schedule \nControls project costs by recommending expenditures and administering contractor contracts.\nPrepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.\nTravel to job site location when necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges.\nAssist in project timeline and deadlines\nMaintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.\nMaintains project database by updating our construction systems\nBe available to support the Project Manager to answer any customer inquiry. \nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nSupervisory / Budgetary / External Communication Responsibility\nThis is an individual contributing role. Will be responsible for communicating primarily internally with the potential of interfacing with sub-contractors.\nMay participate in meetings with GC but normally in an observation capacity. \nKnowledge, skill and ability requirements (minimum competencies required for job performance)\nAble to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment\nLeadership abilities to communicate and influence others\nPositive attitude focused on customers and clients\nSuperb personal and communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels to the organization including stakeholders, developers, and contractors.\nExceptional problem solving, administrative, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.\nEstablished ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team to produce best results.\nExcellent ability in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, Word, etc.\nPrior work experience and educational requirements\nBSME or similar degree\nAbility to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings \nWorking knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor\n2+ years of experience in the construction field and may lead projects that are up to $2.5M in scope.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands are those associated with working in a typical office environment and miscellaneous filed travel.\nNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
