This is a Sr. Project Management position responsible for leading our efforts for large projects or serval projects at one time. All candidates must meet the following expectations and be able to work independently with minimal oversight\nJob Responsibilities/Accountabilities:\nStrong leadership skills \nLead and consult with field project managers, general contractors (GCs) and owners. Be responsible for nurturing successful relationships to ensure the success of the projects.\nManage the Pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling process Leverage strong relationships with GCs to grow the Batchelor and Kimball Business. \nManager successfully subcontractors to ensure project timelines and budget. \nWillingly take ownership and accountability for projects under their direction. \nSolve complex problems relating to project schedule and budget as an active member of the project team.\nReview and approve project budgets (labor, material, and subcontractors) to determine allocation of resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.\nNegotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors to reach agreements beneficial to the project.\nManage project finances including profitability and cash flow.\nWork and provide indirect leadership to construction crews. \nActively be involved in design conflict and resolution for all trades which includes collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project\nLead strategic planning and project submittal, request for information and change order process\nImplement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections\nResponsible for recognizing and resubmitting change orders as necessary\nResponsible for approval of the payment supplier and subcontractor invoices Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues\nCandidates with strong skills with Bluebeam software and Procore Management programs will receive priority in the review process\nIn-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles\nProject, identify and manage CAD, fabrication and field labor resources required\nMaintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.\nSupervisory / Budgetary / External Communication Responsibility\nDirect responsibility for Subcontractors \nIndirect responsibility for B & K and subcontractor field personnel and internal support services. \nDirect responsibility for PE’s and/or APMs\nKnowledge, skill and ability requirements (minimum competencies required for job performance)\nStrong verbal, written and interpersonal skills \nConsistent dependability and availability \nAbility to work in a fast-paced construction office environment \nAbility to organize and curate documents related work orders and personnel \nAptitude to learn new systems \nMechanical Knowledge \nProject Management \nTrain estimating staff on technical aspects of Project Management \nUnderstand company resource production capabilities and implement in the construction process, i.e., daily coordinating with Superintendent \nProfessionally solicit vendors and suppliers during the procurement process\nPrior work experience and educational requirements\nBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or 10 + years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience \nConstruction Management, Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree highly preferred \nMinimum of 4 years leading large multi-million-dollar complex construction projects\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands are those associated with working in a typical office environment and miscellaneous filed travel.\nNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
