The Supply Planner is responsible for the strategic planning of inventory to drive sales, optimize inventory turns and achieve order fill rate targets. The planner will support the Supply Chain Manager and Director of Supply Chain Planning to execute the vision and goals for the inventory planning function. This is an onsite role in Rosemont, IL.\nResponsibilities: \nOptimize inventory by balancing supply and demand.\nResponsible for maximizing service levels to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and ensure working capital remains within the business goals.\nEnsure timely and cost-effective stock replenishment from suppliers/production sites into warehouses.\nResponsible for the creation, alignment and execution of supply plans that ensure supply efficiency.\nProvide daily updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding supplier and open purchase order status exceptions that may result in customer stock-outs.\nHold monthly meetings with assigned warehouse managers to address any capacity constraints.\nManage new customer demand and customer demand shifts through the product life cycle.\nLead and participate in internal cross-functional supply chain projects that impact service and costs.\nReview and manage key master data and supply chain parameters in ERP (MS D365).\nIdentify trends and gaps by product class and make recommendations to sellers to improve selling strategies.Cross-Functional collaboration with the product management, sales, quality, distribution, transportation and demand planning teams.\n\nOther duties as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain Planning.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field or five years of equivalent experience in supply chain within a food ingredient or food manufacturing business with demonstrated food supplier knowledge.\nMinimum 5-7 years of experience in Inventory Management.\nStrong working knowledge of Supply Chain (S&OP/IBP planning).\nStrong working knowledge of demand planning process within the Food and Beverage industry.\nExperience in analyzing data to perform Root Cause Analysis, ROI, and Cost Benefit Analysis.\nStrong organizational skills accompanied by the flexibility to quickly adapt in a fast-paced changing environment.\nSuperior analytical ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces.\nStrong mathematical and statistical knowledge.\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.\nOrganized with excellent follow through capabilities. \nExcellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.\nProficiency in MS Office Suite. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.\nDemonstrates full proficiency and knowledge of JDA software or equivalent demand planning system, Enterprise Resource.
